Coaxial Line
Sep 14, 2018

Coaxial line is a common signal transmission line. The copper core in the center is used to transmit high level, which is covered by insulation materials. Outside the insulation material is a cylindrical thin layer of metal coaxial with copper core, transmitting low level and playing a shielding role. The main body of the coaxial cable is composed of two conductors, inner and outer. For the current flowing in the conductor, there is resistance and inductance, and for the voltage between conductors, there is conductance and capacitance. These characteristics are distributed along the path, and they are called distribution constants.
